Well, you've made it - doesn't sound very busy. Nothing much has happened in Welly since you've left except one sad thing. Henry the swan has died. I've told you before about Henry - 30 years old and Henrietta (wife) and Thomas the goose. They have all been together now in the Waikanae lagoon for the last 30 years, Thomas the goose acting as a father to all the cygnets produced by Henry and Henrietta. Well, Henry was found up the creek dead under a willow bush and Thomas and Henrietta were close by. Anyway, the council are doing the right thing by closing off Willis St and Lambton Quay on Tuesday afternoon while Henry passes by in the back of a hearse and then for final buriel at the Karori bird sanctuary. Anyway stay safe. John

ReplyDeleteOur tour guide told us that last week he saw a motorcycle crash - the body was on one side of the road - and the head on the other side.. gulp
